PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (AP) — Joel Embiid put on a show for the ages, but thought it could have been even better.
Embiid put up a monster stat line of 45 points, 22 rebounds, and 7 assists, but was looking for a little more perfection.
"I had a few turnovers I'd like to have back," Embiid said. "And I missed a few free throws I should have made."
Despite Embiid's self-criticism, the Philadelphia 76ers cruised to a 125-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night.
The win moved the 76ers to 44-35 on the season, while the Spurs fell to 19-59.
Tobias Harris added 23 points for the 76ers, while Tyrese Maxey had 18 points and James Harden added 16.
Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 25 points, while Jeremy Sochan added 20 points and Tre Jones had 15.
The 76ers led by just 8 points at halftime, but they opened up the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Spurs 37-20.
Embiid was dominant in the third quarter, scoring 15 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
