Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter: A Haven for Abandoned Animals

The Animal Shelter and Stray Dogs Center

The Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter is a sanctuary for abandoned animals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Located at the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital Site, between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Sweihan Road, the shelter provides a safe haven for stray and abandoned cats and dogs.

Shelter Hours

The Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter is open to the public from Sunday to Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Visitors are welcome to come and meet the animals, inquire about adoptions, or volunteer their time.

Stray Dogs Center

The Stray Dogs Center (SDC) is a non-profit animal welfare organization founded in 2013. The SDC is dedicated to improving the lives of stray dogs in Abu Dhabi. The organization provides veterinary care, sterilization, and adoption services. The SDC is also involved in educational programs to promote responsible pet ownership.
